MDMC2007-Day One
The Sense of Wonder
group met at lunch and divided the responsibilities for each section of our project. We then went to the exhibit and talked to our curator, Claudia Jacobson, about its origins and significance. At this point we are beginning the writing process for the podcast script. We're realizing just how hard it is to condense 125 years of museum history into 4 minutes.

The evolution of the museum was interesting to hear about. Carl Akeley, who created America's first habitat diorama, is honored with the "Muskrat Group" he organized. We tend to think history is made someplace else and to find out it happened here is an eye-opener. This information may also come in handy playing Trivia Pursuit!
I see you're hard at work learning the new technologies. Email is the best way to reach me as I carry a Blackberry and not often at my desk this week.
Good luck - I'm excited to see what your come up with.
Day number two is completed. We have our final script written and will be ready to record tomorrow. I will not need the pod cast to navigate throught the Sense of Wonder exhibit, I could probably recite it by memory after working on the script! I will send the final version to everyone in the group and then sign off for the evening. See all of you bright and early tomorrow. Tom, don't forget your recording voice. You get to share in the joy of reading the script over, and over and over again with another team member.
